Olga Richardson

Wedding First Dance Lessons in Houston

Olga Richardson coaches wedding first dances in Houston at Premier Dance USA, 4003 Bellaire Blvd, Suite GG. Whether you have never danced or already love the floor, she builds a first dance around your song, your story and your comfort level, from a simple, elegant slow dance to a fully choreographed number.

Who is coaching your first dance

Olga began dancing at five in St. Petersburg, Russia. She became a World Professional Latin Finalist for the USA and a champion of the World Cup, Asian Pacific and USA Open Professional Latin, and today she judges as a World Dance Council adjudicator. She doesn't just teach steps. She builds dancers, and she brings that same care to couples dancing for one night.

What you can dance

If it is a partnered dance, the answer is yes: a waltz, a rumba, bachata, salsa, a classic slow dance, or something fully choreographed with a dip at the end. Olga also coaches father-daughter, mother-son and wedding party dances, and quinceañera choreography.

Never danced before?

That is where most couples start. Lessons begin with your song and how you want to feel on the floor, and Olga breaks the movement down until it feels natural. The goal is simple: when the music starts, you are not thinking about your feet. You are looking at each other.

When to start

Ideally two to three months before the wedding, so practice feels easy rather than rushed. If your date is close, reach out anyway and the studio will help you make a plan that fits. Closer to the day, practice in your wedding shoes so nothing surprises you.
